If you enjoy eating baked potatoes regularly, you might be a little bit concerned over the possibility of putting on a little bit of weight because you are doing so. Potatoes are a starch, and many diet professionals will tell you to avoid them at any cost. Rather than avoiding them, however, it really depends on how you eat them and the frequency with which you do so. Many of us do get a little bit of exercise, but if you exercise properly, you would be surprised with exactly how many calories you can add into your diet without affecting your weight. The proper way to exercise to do this is to add muscle onto your body, as that metabolizes fat and increases your metabolism naturally.

The easiest way for you to add this muscle to your body is to work out the legs regularly. Doing high-intensity training on the legs one time per week and then giving yourself a week to rest can build muscle very quickly and you will begin to see differences quickly as well. If you make this a regular part of your life and get into the habit of going to the gym in order to work out your legs, you would be surprised with exactly how far it can take you.
